Securitex Food and Beverage Technologies Division was setup in early 2006 when we realized that in the next decade the F&B industries in Singapore will go through a complete overhaul and transformation due to more F&B outlet being open, more hotel and resorts which house mega restaurant etc will need to reinvent the way they conduct their business, to increase efficiency and productivity. From food hygiene, to raw material procurement, to food menu preparation all the way to kitchen security and kitchen automation will need some form of overhauling.

In Singapore we particularly will have more issue to improved in this area as we employ foreign worker to carryout many of these part of the job, language barrier "communication" is one issue. The other is as our population ages our kitchen will need to reinvent to allow older workers to be able to adapt to the new kitchen environment and easily understand the various instruction on the use of the Kitchen equipment. Food hygiene is another area that all F&B industry will need to take very seriously as mass food poisoning not only destroy the reputation of the outlet, it also tarnish the reputation of the country as a whole and finally Food safety and Security is one area that need to reinvent as well. After the 9-11, terrorist is trying all ways and means to cause mass sabotage to create mass casualty food sabotage from water poisoning, to raw material to cook food if not carefully secured can be intercepted by terrorist which sabotage the food and when consume can cause massive casualty and death.

Securitex look at Kitchen Automation and communication as one key area that can be further improved. As such a division was setup to understand the needs of these industries and then we specially designed and customized the system for the industry.

Service call Alert System

What is service call alert system some may ask?

Service Call Alert System is a system conceptualized, designed and fabricate by Securitex F&B Technologies Division to allow patron of hotel, restaurant and mass F&B outlet to call for service from their location. This reduces the number of manpower the establishment need to service this guest and yet increases the overall productivity. Typically an entry level Securitex Service Call Alert System will have the following function.

 

The Securitex Exclusive Call Alert Service call system comes in 2 Parts.

Part 1: Master Indicator Panel.

The Master Indicator Panel (MIP) c/w Call Indicator LED light and Call Acknowledge Button. When the Guest at the Exclusive Private Room Press the “HOT” Call Button (SCB). The MIP will lit up indicate which ROOM has place a call for service. The MIP will then need to acknowledge by pressing the ACK button. When the ACK button is press, the ROOM SCB panel will lit up indicating that their request has been accepted. In the event the MIP lit up and the staff station at the MIP did not acknowledge the call say after 30 to 60 seconds. The MIP indicator panel will trigger a beeping sound. This is to indicate to the staff around the MIP that the SCB is calling.

Part 2: Room / Table Remote Call Panel

The Remote Call Panel (RCP) c/w a Call Button and an LED indicator Light. When the Guest at the ROOM Press the RCP, the RCP Button will Lit up indicating that their call to the MIP has been place. Once the staff at the MIP acknowledges the call, the RCP LED will light up acknowledging to guest that their request has been accepted. This LED at the ROOM can also be use as indicator to the staff walking around to attend to the Guest. (The actual operation procedure has to be finalized by the establishment management) Signage will be place inside the ROOM to assist the guest on how to use the call system)

As our system are fully customized for specific application. We can design the system to client special request options like.

a.                   Manual Call Button.

b.                   Wireless Remote Call transmitter.

c.                   Hotel Guest uses their RFID card to call the MIP.

d.                   Guest use intercom to contact the MIP.

e.                   And the List go on…….

We can also design the system to track the number of time, and the exact time the room or table  request for service and how fast the Guest call at the ROOM has been acknowledge by the Staff. We can even design the system to track which staff has acknowledged the call etc.

But bearing in mind that for any organization to start the implementation of such system will have some logistical impact on their operation, because the above systems are CABLED system thus direct intrusion into the ROOM or table itself to lay this cable and install such equipment will be a issue.

In view of this situation we can also recommend that wireless system be used. This comes in 2 parts as well. In the Exclusive Guest Room you have specially tuned transmitter installed in a few area within the ROOM and on the personalized butler he/she carry a small receiver inside their pocket or at the service counter just outside the ROOM area. When this receiver sound the butler will know that his guest need his service and he/she will need to rush to their guest.
