These versatile surveillance cameras are designed to suit almost any application requiring a fixed view of a given location. With the broad selection of available lenses, cameras can be configured to cover broad areas such as parking lots or waiting areas, or tighter, up-close views of entrances and access points. Panasonic equips these general-purpose cameras with a number of features that allow a given camera to suit a wider range of environments and applications.

 Product Highlights
24-hour surveillance with Day/Night feature
The Panasonic Day/Night feature is especially useful where you need to capture images under highly variable lighting conditions - such as brilliant mid-day sun, and dim night lighting - without using different cameras. In bright light, the camera can operate in normal color mode, then automatically changes to a special low-light black-and-white mode when the light fades at dusk. The cameras can also be switched to b/w operation manually, or by pre-set timer to suit special requirements.

Next-generation Super Dynamic II for extreme contrast scenes
The latest version of Panasonic's Super Dynamic II now delivers even better image quality in scenes that include both very dark and very light areas - such as a bright window or doorway and a dimmer interior. To capture image detail in both light and dark regions, the SDII technology actually records the scene at two different exposures, then electronically integrates both into a single image that preserves detail throughout.

In addition, more advanced signal processing offers even more precise color reproduction, and more accurate whites - all at up to 510 lines of resolution - to create a dynamic range about 64 times greater than conventional cameras.

Motion Detection for event recording
In many models, built-in motion detection can trigger recording or other alarms. The feature can be set to respond to motion in given areas of the screen, as well as motion of a certain duration.

WV-CL920 WV-CL920 Camera, 1/2" CCD Color and B/W Switch-able, 120VAC. The WV-CL920A Series combines a near-infrared CCD with a new digital signal processor (DSP). Switching automatically from color mode during the day to B/W mode at night, these cameras are ideal for 24-hour surveillance. When equipped with an F1.4 lens, they deliver clear images in light s low as 0.14 lx (0.014 fx) in color mode and as low as 0.01 lx (0.001 fc) in B/W mode. With electronic enhancement, sensitivity is up to 32 times greater than that of standard cameras. When combined with a near-infrared light source, these cameras can also be used for near-infrared (B/W) surveillance in settings with no visible light. Horizontal resolution is 480 lines in color mode, 570 lines in black and white. WV-NP472 WV-NP472 Network Monitoring Camera, 1/4" CMOS, 9V DC. The WV-NP472 directly connects to either digital or analog devices. Simply set an IP address and connect it to an Ethernet terminal for monitoring and control from a personal computer. Or use the analog video out to connect to a conventional monitoring system using coaxial cable.
The WV-NP472 camera utilizes Panasonic's Super Dynamic II function to capture natural images at entryways, near windows, and in other locations with harsh contrasts between light and dark. It automatically stores images in response to inputs from motion detectors and external sensor alarms and can send images automatically as e-mail attachments. In addition, this color camera can also control external devices, turning on lighting or starting a surveillance recorder.
